The Doyles Room poker games offered, listed in order of popularity, are as follows:
No Limit Texas Hold’em – Doyles Room features some of the softest No-Limit Texas Hold’em ring games available online. This is due to a network partnership with a number of online casinos and sportsbooks. Here you’ll find a great deal of poker fans – you know, those guys who watch in on TV, spilling over from the casinos and sportsbooks to give Doyles Room poker a try. This results in a large window of increased profit potential for those with No Limit Texas Hold’em experience.
As a site largely relying on North American players, you’ll find traffic varies here more than it does at other large online poker sites with a more diverse player base. Still, during off hours, roughly 1,000 players can be found spread out at No Limit Holdem tables with blinds ranging from $0.02/$0.04 to $5/$10. During peak hours, the traffic nearly triples, and some higher stakes games do run.
Pot Limit Omaha – Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) is the second most popular game played at Doyles Room. These games are known to get quite wild and crazy with lots of mediocre hand preflop all-ins. During off hours, you’ll find 100-150 PLO players ranging from micro limits to $1/$2, and during peak hours you’ll find 250-300 players with games as high as $5/$10 running. Of course, on rare occasion, higher limit PLO games also run.
Fixed Limit Hold’em – It is clear the influence televised poker has had on the online poker community. When Doyles Room first launched in 2004, there were plenty of fixed limit games still available. While these games still do exist, nowadays you’ll find only 80-100 players during off hours, and up to 200 during peak hours at the fixed limit Hold’em tables.
Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo – Quite surprisingly, Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo which is a big draw at other sites is less common at Doyles Room. Here you’ll generally find 1 or 2 full tables going at the upper end of the micro stakes. Anything above this limit will generally run only heads up or short handed.
Other Doyles Room Poker Games
Doyles Room offers other games not already mentioned on this page, such as fixed limit Omaha Hi/Lo. We delayed mentioning these games due to very low player traffic at each. One thing we did not omit from Doyles Room poker game coverage was 7 Card Stud games. While a 7 Card Stud Lobby does exist, this is a place holder for the future. If you’re a 7 Card Stud player, Doyles Room is probably not the correct site for you, unless you want to change games and take advantage of their very soft no-limit holdem ring games.
