Prior to learning about the Gold Chips program, you’ll first want to know about the Doyles Room sign-up bonus and Frequent Player Points (FPP), as all three tie together. Earning FPP at Doyles Room
There are two ways to earn Frequent Player Points at Doyles Room. The first way is by participating in real money ring games, and the second is by entering real money poker tournaments. In ring games, each dollar a pot is raked is worth 1 FPP, and partial points are also awarded, meaning if a pot is raked 50 cents, all players who were dealt cards will receive 0.50 FPP. In tournaments, the rate is 7 FPP for each dollar paid in tournament entry fees. For example, in a $20+$2 tournament all entrants receive 14 FPP.
Gold Chip Rewards
At most online poker sites, Frequent Player Points have a redemption value, meaning they can be redeemed for something such as a t-shirt, electronics, tournament tickets, etc., in the poker room’s online store. At Doyles Room, things work slightly different. Here, as Frequent Player Points are earned, they are automatically converted to something called Gold Chips. The Gold Chips work similar to FPP at other online poker sites, as the Gold Chips can be redeemed in a variety of different ways at Doyles Room. We’ll cover this later in the article.
Earning Gold Chips
At Doyles Room, the exchange process from Frequent Player Points to Gold Chips is automatic. The rate for exchange descends each calendar month, meaning each time you earn a gold chip, you’ll need less Frequent Player Points to earn your next. The actual rates are covered below; keep in mind that the earn rate is reset at the beginning of each calendar month.

Using Gold Chips
The most popular way to use Gold Chips is to shop in the Doyles Room store. Here, you’ll find a wide variety of electronics, jewelry, and video game systems, to name only a few of the store’s many different categories. Cash has no value in the Doyles Room store, as all merchandise is priced and sold in Gold Chips only, so you’ll need Gold Chips to shop there.
Another use for Gold Chips is to enter Gold Chip tournaments. Doyles Room hosts 4-6 Gold Chips tournaments each month with buy-in ranging from 5-20 Gold Chips, and prize pools ranging from $5,000-$15,000. Most, but not all, of these tournaments have rebuy and add-on options. Additionally, there are five satellite tournaments per day with buy-ins ranging from 2-5 Gold Chips (+ rebuys & add ons). Three of these satellites feed into a $10,000 prize guaranteed tournament, while the other two feed into $50,000 and $100,000 guaranteed prize pool tournaments.
